The First Lady of Niger State Her Excellency Dr (Mrs) Amina Abubakar Bello on 24 January 2023 recieved the President Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya in her office at the Niger State Government House, Minna.
In her remarks, the President NAOWA while stating the purpose of her visit to Minna , highlighted the activities of NAOWA, which include youth empowerment programmes, medical support programmes, charitable services among others.
The First Lady of Niger state applauded the President NAOWA for the achievements she has recorded, most especially in the area of donations of medical equipment to various health care facilities across the country. She assured the President NAOWA of her support through her Raise Foundation. She said, Raise Foundation provides screening and awareness on cervical and breast cancer . Dr (Mrs) Amina Bello urged NAOWA members to avail themselves for cervical cancer screening and advocacy via the Raise Foundation.
Mrs Salamatu thereafter adorned the First Lady with NAOWA attire, which she described as the symbolic affirmation of the First Lady’s position of Patron 1 in the state as authorized in the Association’s Constitution.
The visit featured the exchange of souvenirs and group photographs.
