The NAOWA Staff Development Workshop Series, which is an initiative of the NAOWA President, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya, continued with a 2 Day training with the theme: “NAOWA 21st Century School System/Teaching and Learning Approaches Examined”. The training which is the 4th in the Workshop Series was conducted at the NAOWA Event Center and the Army Command Mess 1 Abuja on 15 and 21 May 2022 respectively.
The NAOWA President attended the closing session where she enjoined staff of NAOWA schools to imbibe professionalism and ideals of the teaching profession in discharging their duties. She stressed that the NAOWA Development Workshop Series is a part measures aimed at enhancing the capacity and welfare of teachers as well as all staff of NAOWA Institutions.
The NAOWA President further charges all teaching and non-teaching staff of NAOWA institutions to take advantage of the opportunity to improve themselves in other to be in tune with the systematic changes in the education sector.
The Chairperson NAOWA Education Training Committee, who was also the Chairperson of the organizing committee, Mrs Fatima Sani Mohammad, earlier in her opening remarks, appreciated the President NAOWA for the opportunity to organize the workshop and further stated that the Development Workshop Series has so far impacted positively on the staff of NAOWA institutions.
The NAOWA Development Workshop Series 1C featured several resources persons such as, Mr Abdulrazak Muhammed, Hajiya Maryam Sadiq, Mrs Maimunah Abdullahi popularly known as Coach DD, and Mrs Funmi Olorunmola. Lectures were delivered on various topics which include; Effective Lesson Preparations and Lesson Delivery Using SMASE Project Approach, Ethics and Excellence in Classroom, Mental Health Awareness Training and Menstrual Hygiene and Management.
