The President Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya commissions a newly acquired 32 Seater Bus and a Solar Powered Borehole constructed in Mogadishu Cantonment by the NAOWA Coordinator AHQ Garrison Chapter, Mrs Asmau KN Garba on 21 December 2022.
Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya in her remarks commended the Coordinator NAOWA AHQ Garrison Chapter for her foresight of constructing the Solar Powered Borehole. She stated that the Borehole would serve as an additional source of clean water which will compliment other sources of water supply within the Cantonment, she added that the newly acquired 32 Seater Bus would serve as a comfortable means of transporting NAOWA Members for activities of the Association.
Earlier in her opening remarks, the Chief Host Mrs Asmau KN Garba appreciated the NAOWA President for gracing the occasion, she further stated that her resolve to construct the Solar Powered Borehole was aimed at providing sufficient water supply in the Cantonment, while the 32 Seater Bus is to serve as AHQ Garrison NAOWA official vehicle for the benefit of all members. Additionally, she extolled the President NAOWA for her guidance which has helped in sharpening the focus of the NAOWA AHQ Garrison Chapter towards carrying out project of this nature.
Highpoints of the event were the commissioning of the Solar Powered Borehole, unveiling of the NAOWA AHQ Gar Chapter 32 Seater Bus, Cultural Dance, Presentation of Souvenirs and Group Photograph.
