It was a moment of joy and solidarity at the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment in Jos, Plateau State, on Friday, July 5th, 2024, when the President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA),Mrs Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja, as part of the NADCEL 2024 celebrations, embarked on humanitarian and medical outreaches. The humanitarian outreach honored the widows of fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and also included a cash donation to members of the Nigerian Army Soldiers’ Wives Association (NASWA), while the medical outreach was organized for sick children and adults at the 3 Division Medical Services and Hospital.
In her remarks, the NAOWA President emphasized that the commissioning of the two newly initiated projects and both outreaches were a testament to her unwavering support and solidarity with military families, particularly widows, in honor of NADCEL 2024 celebration.
Highlights of the event included the distribution of toiletries, provisions, and cash gifts to sick individuals at the hospital, donations of food items and cash gifts to widows, and a cash donation to NASWA members.
