— ABOUT US
The Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA)
is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women married to commissioned officers of the Nigerian Army. Established as a Company Limited by Guarantee under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990, NAOWA was officially registered on January 23, 2003 (Registration Number 471373).
A deep commitment to the public interest.
The association operates independently, without funding from the government or the Nigerian Army. Instead, its programs are made possible through contributions from the Army, corporate sponsors, and generous philanthropists who share its mission.
NAOWA was established with a dual mandate: to foster unity and bonding among the wives of Army Officers and to engage in impactful humanitarian activities. Its core objectives include supporting the less privileged in society and improving the standard of living within the barracks community.
This Brief serves to provide an overview of NAOWA’s key humanitarian initiatives, highlighting its unwavering commitment to service, empowerment, and community development.
